Seeking AK experts, did I get a good deal?
 

I recently came into possession of an AK made in Egypt for $500 from a local contact.

What do you guys think of this particular firearm, are these Maadis good? Did I get a decent deal?

No experience with Maadis but yours appears to be a "Post-ban" model. Did anything else come with it?

Here is one that apparently sold for $1175, though it looks new and NO-ban configuration.

I believe these are fairly well made.

Lets say better than the eastern European models but not as good as the Chinese models.

While you do have the butt-hole stock, it has a thinner grip than the Chinese and will fit your hand better.

Here is an after-market stock that works well and can be legally added without any other parts.

If I'm not mistaken, the Maadi's are rather difficult to find in comparison to other AK models, so for $500 I'd say you did rather well.
